How to create a mosquito trap.

DIY MOSQUITO TRAP!

Are you struggling with mosquitos in your backyard.. but you don't have the funds to invest in a mosquito trapping system? well, fear not because the easy and recyclable method is here. This DIY mosquito trap made with 3 simple ingredients and has a long-lasting time period will get rid of your pesky mosquito problems forever!

What you will need.

·     Empty 2-liter soda bottle or similar-sized container
·     razor knife
·     Duct tape
·     1/4 cup brown sugar
·     1 cup hot water
·     1 package dry active yeast

1. Cut the bottle in half.
Use a blade to cut the top section off of the two-liter bottle.
2.  put the top half of the bottle inside the bottom half but not all the way.
3. Tape it together.
Assemble your homemade mosquito trap! The inverted bottleneck traps any mosquitoes that enter.
4. Tape the black paper on the bottle
5. Add 1/4 cup of brown sugar to 1 cup of boiling water. Mix thoroughly until the sugar is dissolved completely.
Allow the mixture to cool until you can comfortably stick your finger into the mixture. Ideally, the temperature of the sugar water should be between 120-130°F. If it's too hot, the high temperature will kill the yeast. If it's too cool, the yeast will not fully activate.
When the sugar mixture reaches the correct temperature, gently mix in the yeast. Pour the mixture into the bottle (the inverted funnel makes this easy), and the mosquito trap is ready to go.
Make mosquito bait to draw the bugs into your trap.
7. Put the trap outside and replace every two weeks.
Set your trap out and enjoy the results!
I hope this helped, stay tuned for more easy, sustainable and natural ways to prevent mosquitos.
